In the summer of 2011, Libby Jennette attended her first East Cobb Cheetah practice. From that day forward she's been on a mission. Libby was introduced to the technical side of running. She's learned that there is a "method to the madness" when it comes to training, competing, and recovering. She has learned that "practice does not make perfect, it makes permanent," a statement she has heard Coach L say may times over. Through her eagerness and determination, Libby has accomplished that has surprised both her and her family. "I told Libby and her dad on the first day of practice, anyone can get a scholarship if you are willing to work," said Coach L.
Today Libby is a freshman at Limestone College, in Gaffney, SC. She continues to put her best food forward and is totally loving the student-athlete lifestyle. She continues to improve her time every time she steps on the Cross Country trail. The Lady Saints, with the help of Libby, have placed third in the Cross Country Conference this year, the highest in school history. She has now qualified for the regions and we are all excited about what to come.
Libby Jennette is a Cheetah Champion because she is the first Cheetah to obtain a scholarship to college.
